    @duiz I would suspect the latest build of the main branch would support it. If not, I believe @jdrassa had some Windows builds he was sharing - I'd search for EmulationStation Windows builds in the forums.

    My latest code would be here:

    https://github.com/pjft/EmulationStation/tree/ES-OMX-Master-Merged-Stable

    If anyone wants to compile it, though the only new things it has is screensaver support and filtering. The OMX Player changes are not relevant to Windows. In fact, I can't promise it'll compile for Windows as I never attempted it, though I tried to keep things tidy so that it would.

    @pjft thanks! I did do the audio changes through the retropie menus in ES, no luck there. I will continue to test on that TV, but now I know it is a tv issue, it will be a low priority.

    The theme is coming along well! I have an update planned for this evening when I get a chance. I have it in 16:9 format now. Some nice improvements and some slight modifications that aren't as nice as the original 4:3, but it looks nice and is running more smoothly.

    Another benefit I found with the OMX player is that omx will hold the original format of videos, while vlc won't. Running the ES build with screenscaver we can't use maxSize but it doesn't matter, omx holds the ratio by default. Vlc will stretch the videos.

    @jwcbronski Thanks.

    It was effectively a very ad hoc trial and error approach to coming up with something that would be similar, as they use drastically different volume ranges and settings.

    I hope this one works best. Feel free to keep using this version of ES for the time being, and whenever this gets merged to the stable branch you can use it.

    Thanks!

    There have been a couple of other threads about this issue, the best way around this is to use a different USB dongle.

    Some good information can be found on this thread - https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/6321/random-button-presses-when-using-wii-u-pro-controller/22

    The LogiLink BT0015 USB bluetooth adapter is the one I use and it works great with the Wii U Pro controllers (and all my other Bluetooth controllers). If you go with it you'll also need to add "dtoverlay=pi3-disable-bt" to your config.txt (to disable the onboard Bluetooth) and then re-pair your controllers.

    Hope that helps.

    Update: Ok, Now i am all kinds of confused. I decided to make sure everything I have is up to date, after seeing in threads that ES was updated over the weekend. so I re-updated everything from source. Unfortunately this has changed the outcomes of my symptoms above. Now, after updating from source, the carbon theme as updated through ES themes update will run both the videos and images in a single system, this is great as it allows for some games in the games list to not have video and instead shows the image. The carbon theme does have the <supported feature= "video". The problem is that now carbon throws the same errors as my new theme does. My theme still has my video view as a standard view and not a feature, per above. Now both themes function the same. Both allow video and images in the same system, and both throw out the could not find file error. In both cases i have videos and images running along with all my meta data for each game in each system. Anyone else have the updated carbon and getting these errors in the es log? Thanks

    I remember getting a bit longer bootup time after I scraped all my roms, I suspect this extra time would radically increase if all games have video previews?

    @pjft Thanks! Dream come true with this one. Installed and everything appears to be working great. I love the screen saver, the temps are running nicely and i have not issues with screen savers, text, or video previews. One item that is not a big deal and I solved for my build is the volume level of the screensaver videos compared to the volume of the video previews and actual games. I had to set my system volume to 92% in order to make the game and preview audio align with the screen saver audio. Originally the screen saver audio was playing about 2 times my game audio and it blew me away!
    Another thought to add to what I am sure is a very long list of wants and desires of many is the ability to have a custom screen saver/single screensaver. My thought here is that you keep the random video screen saver the way it is, but can you add another option that would run a video from a designated folder? We could then create a custom screen saver video, or simply put your favorite video in a folder location and only that video would play. I am thinking it would be fun to have a custom video i would create in adobe after affects similar to what we can do for the custom splash screens. - Anyways, like I said, that is a wish list item and by no means an immediate need or fix.

    Thank you for your hard work and to @fieldofcows for this addition to ES!

    Edit: @pjft Any thoughts on how this build of ES 0.6-ssctl might react to the new retropie 4.2? I am assuming that when i run the update all it will load the base ES and i will then go back in and replace with 0.6-ssctl. Just wondering if you have any thoughts before i give it a try. Thanks

    @TMNTturtlguy You're right.

    In that case, my best advice is to do what I had done before I started this and fieldofcows added the OMXPlayer experiment, which is to batch convert all videos to 480x360@30fps using Handbrake or equivalent.

    Works like a charm! :)

    You may save yourself some time if you can somehow know beforehand which of your videos are of higher resolution, or higher fps so you don't convert all.

    A note: obviously I'm biased, but I've been using my build as the main ES for the past few weeks with no real issues, so I'd be the first to recommend it :D But yes, of course there may be unforeseen problems, though it's mostly fieldofcows' code - just a few tweaks on top. If you do test it out, let us all know! Just don't use themes with overlays with the experimental player, as it doesn't support overlays on top, if that's a problem for you. :)

    Best!

    SSelph's scraper for windows can auto resize videos if you run -convert_videos true with handbrakecli.exe in the same folder as the scraper.
